1. Karnak

6. The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

The temple is not only unique because Hatshepsut was one of the few female pharaohs, but also because of its architecture: it is an abstract construction employing several layered terraces which blend amazingly well into the mountainous landscape.

8. The Colossi of Memnon
