Flights to ParisParis is a world-famous hotspot. A place that continues to surprise you, even if you return year after year. If you book a flight to Paris, you should see the following highlights!
Eiffel TowerThere is no escaping the Eiffel Tower, the best-known symbol of Paris! The tower is 324 metres tall and was constructed on the occasion of the 1889 world's fair to celebrate the centennial of the French Revolution. You may not know that the Eiffel Tower’s construction initially drew a lot of criticism. Some people thought it did not fit in with the architecture of the city and even wanted to demolish the tower after the world's fair had ended. Nowadays, it’s hard to imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower!
MontmartreIf you book a flight to Paris, you simply must go to Montmartre hill in the 18th arrondissement. Climb the stairs to Sacré-Cœur Basilica and you will enjoy a magnificent view of the city. And who knows, you may hear someone playing the harp, which makes this spot all the more magical. Be sure to hang around on Place du Tertre which abounds with street artists, who will gladly draw your portrait or caricature.
Notre-Dame de ParisAnother landmark you should not miss is Notre-Dame de Paris. It may not be the largest cathedral, but it’s probably the best-known cathedral in the world. It can be admired on Île de la Cité in the centre of Paris. If you go inside, you will be treated to an impressive interior with marvellous stained glass windows, including two magnificent rose windows. The treasury containing ancient relics may very well be the highlight. There you can see the Crown of Thorns, a fragment of the True Cross and one of the Holy Nails.

The museum opened its doors in 1793, consists of 3 wings and is one of the largest museums in the world, covering an area of over 60,000m². Objects dating from Antiquity up to the first half of the 19th century are divided over 8 departments. The most famous work in the Louvre collection is without a doubt Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa.
Musée d’OrsayMusée d’Orsay is a continuation of the Louvre, as it were. It is housed in the former Gare d'Orsay railway station and displays works of art from the period between 1848 and 1914.
