What should I do with my stroller/pram/child safety seat?
Prams, foldable strollers and car seats are allowed in the baggage compartment free of charge, if a baby or young child is travelling.
Child seats meeting the ECE R44-03 standard or higher with three-point belt (max.10 Kg 55 x40 x20 cm) and with label 'For use in aircraft' can be used in cabin.
Cribs and cots are not allowed in the cabin.
If as a parent you wish to take
- an umbrella baby Stroller,
- a small baby pram,
- Maxi Cosi
- Easy Walker into the cabin,
- booster seats
it counts as hand baggage and must meet the conditions for hand baggage (max 1 piece, max 10 kg, 55x40x20cm). When you use this as hand luggage, as a parent you are no longer entitled to other hand luggage
If you did not book an extra seat for your baby, the baby should remain in the lap of one of the adults travelling with the baby during the entire flight.
If you have booked a seat for the baby, you should provide the car seat yourself. Cribs and cots are not allowed in the cabin.
However, passengers are allowed to bring one of these objects to the entrance of the aircraft, where it is subsequently loaded into the baggage compartment. If possible, this object will be returned to you upon your exit of the aircraft at your destination. Otherwise, the pram, stroller or child safety seat will be returned to you together with your other baggage in the baggage hall in the airport building.
Keep in mind that all objects must be given a baggage label at the check-in desk, even the one that is taken to the entrance of the aircraft.
