TUI fly flies you and your dog or cat to your destination
You can bring your dog or cat with you on the flight when you fly with TUI fly. Below are all the terms and conditions that apply when you fly with TUI fly. If you are flying with another airline, please check that airline's website for terms and conditions. These can vary between airlines.
TUI has several partners that operate under TUI fly's flight number during busy seasons: TB. Sometimes, one of TUI's partners operates a flight under a TB flight number under different terms. We'll inform you about that once you have registered your pet or assistance dog. We recommend that you arrive at the airport with your dog or cat at least two hours in advance.
Terms and conditions when flying with your dog or cat
It is mandatory to fill out the official document in duplicate and present it at the check-in desk upon departure. For the sake of their well-being, TUI fly does not accept dogs or cats with flat snouts, nor crossbreeds between two flat-snouted breeds in the hold. Animals with flat snouts may experience respiratory problems in flight, especially due to elevated temperatures and stress.
Can I take my dog or cat with TUI fly?
A limited number of dogs and cats are accepted per flight under certain conditions:
- Dogs and cats must be at least three months old.
- When travelling in the EU, your pet must have an EU passport.
- Your dog or cat must be vaccinated against rabies and have an identification chip.
- For countries outside the EU, other obligations may apply, such as taking a blood test six months before departure. Make sure to ask the embassy of the destination country what the admission requirements are well in advance.
- TUI fly does not accept pets on flights to and from the Cape Verde Islands Neither in the cabin nor in the cargo hold.
- TUI fly allows assistance and guide dogs on board.
There are several options for transporting your faithful four-legged friend or cat. You'll find all the options below. As a passenger, you are responsible for ensuring that all conditions are meet.
Frequently asked questions about travelling with dogs and cats
You can register your pet directly at the time of booking through the travel agent or tour operator. Are you booking through the TUI website? When booking, you can immediately add a dog or cat to your booking. If you already have a booking, you can add the dog or cat to your booking yourself via myTUI. As passengers, you are responsible for arranging your own kennel. You can do this, for example, through a veterinary practice, pet store or by purchasing one at baggage claim.
You are allowed to bring your pet in a kennel in the cabin on a limited number of flights within Europe. The kennel must meet the maximum dimensions of 50x35x30 centimetres. Together, they should not exceed eight kilograms. When travelling with your pet in the cabin, you must reserve a window seat. Costs vary by destination, and can be checked on the TUI fly Services web portal.
An assistance or guide dog is always allowed in the cabin, even on long-haul flights. However, you must meet the above conditions and be pre-registered.
You cannot transport animals other than dogs or cats on TUI fly flights.
