What kind of assistance does my underaged child get at the airport?
Minors must be accompanied to / from the airport. The people who accompany these minors should be present at the airport until the aircraft has taken off or at the scheduled time of arrival. So as to ensure a smooth completion of the required formalities we ask you to be present at the check-in desk 2 hours before the scheduled time of departure, where your child will be checked in and where the UMNR wallet will be prepared and handed over.
This wallet, consisting of the plane ticket, the boarding pass, the valid passport / ID card and UMNR form, will be carried by your child during the entire flight.
Your child will be accompanied from the check-in desk or the reception room until boarding the plane by one of our ground handler's employees. Your child will be assigned a seat close to the cabin crew. This way, if your child needs help, we can provide it quickly. Once your child has arrived at the destination, one of the local ground handler's employees will accompany your child to the person who is supposed to pick up the child up.
For safety purposes, the person picking up the child up needs to present their valid ID card. Before the child can go with that person the information is compared to the data in the wallet. Please pass on this information to the person who will be picking up the child.
The attendant who accompanies the child to the airport must remain present until the child has actually left.
You must always remain at the airport until your child's flight has taken off.
