Wonderful natureCorsica’s nature is truly breathtaking. With a surface area of about 350,000 ha, you can spend hours hiking in the Regional Natural Park of Corsica. The 180-kilometre long GR 20 traverses the green island from north to south, but there are also several shorter hiking trails. Calanques de Piana are also strikingly beautiful. These rock formations have taken on irregular shapes due to erosion. They emerge from the sea and change colour throughout the day depending on how sunlight hits them.
Charming BonifacioBonifacio has a spectacular location on white cliffs overlooking the sea. City walls surround the historical city centre with its narrow streets bursting with charm. A unique tourist attraction is the Staircase of the King of Aragon: a steep, 187-step staircase carved into the cliffs which takes you from the sea to the city. A long climb up, but an absolute must-do when you have booked your flights to Ajaccio!
